A Day of Cycling: Journey to Dad’s Marriage

Everyone goes to find a girl for their son, but I went to find a girl for my dad. I was a child at that time, and my mom had passed away. I didn’t have a mother to support me, and my dad went to work every day. He would take me with him when he could, but it wasn’t always possible, and he faced a lot of difficulties. After a few years, my dad thought i needed a mother figure to take care of me, so he finally decided to remarry.

One day, my dad and a laborer who worked with him took me on a bicycle ride to talk to the mommy family. My dad was cycling, and I was sitting behind him. After talking, everyone agreed, and the relationship was finalized. I had already met my mom before because my dad worked there, where my mom also worked there. Where my dad and mom worked, they were given jaggery every week because there was a lot of dust. My mom and I would go to the shop to get jaggery; she would cycle while I sat behind her, and we would talk along the way.

These memories of those times when I was little. Even though my new mom didn’t give birth to me, she treated me like her own child. She understands everything without me saying a thing. Love you, Mom.
