I was really interested in flying a drone, so I ordered one from China because in India, there were only two brands available—DJI and Mi—which were quite expensive. I ordered the drone for around 12 thousand rupees through the AliExpress app, and it took about a month to arrive. After ordering the drone, a few days later, I came across a video about drones, which informed me that in India, you need a license to fly a drone. I also learned that if the customs office catches it, you could be fined and the drone could be confiscated. I got scared, but fortunately, the drone arrived safely because the customs officer didn’t catch it, as the company had labeled it as a "toy gadget" rather than a drone, so I escaped.
After that, I flew the drone and the video quality was really good, and it could fly a long distance. However, it had one drawback: it didn’t have a gimbal, so the footage wasn’t stable. At that time, I didn’t know about gimbals. When I faced this issue, I found out that a gimbal would have made the footage stable even in windy conditions. After that, I sold the drone on OLX because I needed stable footage.
I remembered an incident when I was testing how far the drone could go. I flew it so far that it was no longer visible to the eye. I had flown it to a place where there were girls using the toilet, which I didn’t know about. Later, those girls complained to our teacher that someone was flying a drone there and watching them while they were in the toilet. The teacher came to me and asked why I had flown the drone there. I explained that I was just testing the range and didn’t know about the girls. The teacher said it was fine, but from now on, I should avoid flying the drone in that area to avoid complaints to the police. After that, I never flew the drone in that place again.
